Wrestling Respect Introduction
New England has produced some of the most recognized names in pro wrestling. None of them just showed up on Raw or Smackdown. They all started with training and then they gained experience working in front of smaller crowds at independent shows. Casual pro wrestling fans might not be aware that the frequent WWE shows at the TD Banknorth Garden are not the only pro wrestling events in town. Every New England state has its own independent pro wrestling organizations where you’re likely to see excellent workers who, for whatever reason, aren’t signed to a big money deal with WWE or TNA. In some cases, you might just have the privilege of discovering a future star on his or her way up, before that person is even a blip on Vince McMahon’s radar.
I created this web site to express and share my interest in pro wrestling. But more importantly, I want to facilitate a forum where area fans can discuss individual wrestlers, companies, live events, TV shows, DVDs, podcasts, etc., without worrying about a negative or immature environment to rain on the party. I’d like to invite the people that make it possible for there to be a New England pro wrestling industry–wrestlers, ring crew, promoters, referees, ring announcers, and anyone I missed, from any part of the country or the world–if you’re based in New England or you’ve worked in the area, or you would like to, you’re invited!
